Club History

Established in 2004, here is a brief history of Bretton Junior Football Club!

Initially playing in the Charles Rice league and affiliated to the Sheffield and Hallamshire County Football Association in 2004.

Bretton Juniors began as Bretton Boys with a single Under 13's side, now theUnder 15's going into the Under 13's Combination League and have continued to play football with a competitive nature along with a positive sportsmanship from each individual player.

The clubs manager is Gavin Logan who has a F.A. Level One Coaching Certificate which also includes Child Protection and First Aid. Previously Gavin was assistant manager of Ward Green under 12's, who won promotion to the Premier League and also coached the Ward Green over 35's team to a cup final and promotion in there first season.

Since then BrettonJFC has expanded to a further Six Teams which have all successfully developed into strong teams. A strong focus at BrettonJFC is the development, support and motivation of all its players!

In order to expand as a Club we have supported many parents and fans in obtaining their coaching/ referee certificates in order to progress the Club to further success and enable us to effectively manage and coach all players within BrettonJFC. Also we are a Child Protection Organisation and working towards the Charter Standard Scheme!
